2023 Hero Passion Plus Launched In India

The Hero Passion Plus has returned in its 2023 incarnation, three years after it was cancelled owing to BS6 standards. The motorcycle has an improved drivetrain with OBD-2 (onboard diagnostics) technology and is compatible with E20 fuel, which is a blend of 20% ethanol and 80% petrol. The commuter bike, on the other hand, is powered by the same 97.2cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled mill that produces 7.9bhp of maximum power output at 8,000rpm and 8.05Nm of peak torque at 6,000rpm, making it Hero’s seventh model to include the long-standing air-cooled ‘Sloper’ motor. The gearbox has four speeds.

The 2023 Hero Passion Plus also includes Hero’s i3s start/stop technology. With these enhancements, the most recent iteration costs around Rs 76,301 (ex-showroom).

The 2023 Hero Passion Plus has the same hardware as previously. The bike’s suspension consists of telescopic forks at the front and dual shock absorbers at the back. Braking duties are handled by 130mm drum brakes on both ends.

The new bike rides on 18-inch cast alloy wheels with 80/100 tubeless front and rear tyres. The Hero MotoCorp Passion Plus, with a kerb weight of 115 kilogrammes, is considered to be the heaviest bike in its segment. It has a fuel capacity of around 11 litres.

The 2023 Hero Passion Plus has a similar design to its predecessor. However, the business has given the 2023 bike’s headlamp cowl, grab rail, and tail lamp a slight update. Other than that, the new motorcycle retains the same single-piece seat, handlebars, mirrors and so on. The 2023 Hero Passion Plus comes in three colour options: Sports Red, Black Nexus Blue, and Black Heavy Grey.

The Passion Plus has dimensions of 1,982mm in length, 1,087mm in height, and 770mm in width. It features a 790mm seat height and a 168mm ground clearance.

The Hero Passion Plus is a no-frills, bare-bones motorcycle in terms of features. It has a side stand cut-off, a semi-digital instrument console, a USB charging connector, standard i3s technology, and bulb illumination all over.

In the Indian market, the new Passion Plus is priced at around Rs 76,301 (ex-showroom). The Passion Plus is the most costly bike in the 100cc category at this pricing, and it is slightly more expensive than the Splendour Plus, which costs Rs 72,076 (ex-showroom). In terms of competition, the Hero Passion Plus is Hero’s answer to the Honda Shine and the Bajaj Platina.
