2023 BMW M2 launched at Rs 98 Lakh
BMW has introduced the second-generation M2 in India, with prices beginning at Rs 98 lakh ex-showroom. The two-door sports coupe is available in a single variant with an automatic transmission as standard, but manual transmission is available as part of a comprehensive options list. The new BMW M2 will be available in limited quantities in India via the CBU route.

The second-generation BMW M2 is powered by a 3.0-litre straight-six engine, which is also used in the M3 and M4, producing 460hp and 550Nm and driving the rear wheels via an 8-speed torque converter automatic transmission as standard. BMW claims the new M2 can accelerate from 0 to 100kph in 4.1 seconds (with the automatic gearbox) and has a top speed of 250kph. It also comes equipped with an adaptive M suspension.
India-spec standard equipment The Comfort access system, powered seats with memory function, M seat belts, adaptive LED headlamps with high beam assist, a Harman Kardon sound system, BMW connected package, wireless charging, M Shadowline trim with extended contents and staggered, silver finish M light 19-inch alloy wheels in the front and 20-inch alloy wheels in the rear are all standard on the BMW M2.
The exterior paint colours for the M2 will be Alpine White, Brooklyn Grey, Black Sapphire, Toronto Red, and Zandvoort Blue. Customers will be able to pick between Black and Cognac interior colours, with BMW M Sport seats and aluminium highlights on the dashboard as standard.
Aside from that, purchasers have a plethora of options to pick from in order to customise the M2. A manual transmission costs an extra Rs 1 lakh, as does a carbon-fibre roof, carbon-fibre bucket seats, jet-black alloy wheels, an M driver’s package, and other features.
The 2023 BMW M2 is based on the worldwide 2 Series coupe and features an aggressive body modification that comprises a beautiful and functional rear spoiler, a low-slung GT-style rear diffuser, quad exhaust tips, and a distinct front end with frameless horizontal kidney grilles and wide-set headlamps.
The 2023 BMW M2 features a curved display for the 14.9-inch infotainment system and 12.3-inch instruments with M-specific graphics on the inside. The 2023 BMW M2 is 219mm shorter than the M4 – measuring 4,575mm bumper to bumper – yet 114mm longer than the previous-generation M2. In India, the new BMW M2 competes with the Porsche 718 Cayman.
