2022 Yamaha MT-15 Bookings Opened Unofficially
Yamaha dealers have begun taking unofficial bookings for the 2022 MT-15, and the token value varies by city, with some dealers apparently charging up to Rs. 10,000/- to reserve a unit.
The Japanese bike company is said to be working on an improved version of the 150cc commuter with extra technology, which it plans to release next week.
The 2022 Yamaha MT-15 will be available in four colors (that we know of): Glossy Black, Grey, Racing Blue, and White. Of course, the manufacturer of the R15 will almost certainly release a Monster Energy model, which will be more expensive.
The MT-15 could easily adopt the R15 V4’s LCD dash with two display settings for 2022. Bluetooth connectivity and twin-channel ABS should be standard on the naked bike, with traction control as an option.
Yamaha is also expected to equip the motorbike with inverted front forks and a 155cc engine from the R15 V4 that produces 18.4 PS and 14.2 Nm.
An assist and slipper clutch, as well as an optional rapid shifter, should be included in the 6-speed gearbox.
The design of the 2022 Yamaha MT-15 is also likely to be updated, with full LED lighting. All of these enhancements, however, would come at a higher price than the existing model’s charges, which range from Rs. 1.47 lakh to Rs. 1.50 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
