2022 Range Rover Launched At A Price Of Rs 2.32 Crores
The 2022 Range Rover is a step up in luxury. Carrying on the legacy of its nine-year-old predecessor, the fifth-generation model uniquely carries the Range Rover elegance while receiving some very desirable upgrades. The British SUV has now been priced at 2.3 crores. Bookings are already open, and you can select from a variety of trims such as SE, HSE, Autobiography, and First Edition. Other options include a short wheelbase, a long wheelbase, and seating capacities ranging from 5 to 7 seats, depending on the variant.
There are two wheelbase options for 2022 Range Rover. A standard wheelbase and a longer wheelbase are available. The latter is 200mm longer than the former and can accommodate a third row on request. In terms of exterior design, the car bears a striking resemblance to the previous-generation model, with only minor differences distinguishing it. There’s also a new front bumper, grille, and LED headlights. The door handles are now flush with the car’s body.
When compared to the exterior, the interior is a completely different story, with numerous changes inside the cabin. Almost everything is new, including the dashboard, steering wheel, and infotainment system, which all have modern, elegant styling and improved functionality. The touch screen is a 13.7-inch curved floating screen that appears futuristic. In the back, there are large and luxurious 24-way adjustable seats with massage functions, as well as a separate 13-inch entertainment panel and an 8-inch control panel for the same, which is available in the top-spec model. The Merit Meridian signature sound system not only provides excellent audio quality but also aids in active noise cancellation. A mini champagne fridge is also housed in the fixed console between the rear seats.
There are three engine options for the 2022 Range Rover. The first is a 3.0L 6-cylinder turbo petrol engine with 400PS and 550Nm of torque. The diesel powertrain is a 3.0L 6-cylinder diesel unit that produces 350PS of power and 700Nm of torque. Both engines are mated to a 48-volt mild-hybrid system. The third and enthusiast special is the 4.4L twin-turbo V8 that produces 530PS of power and 750Nm of torque, enough to propel this car from 0 to 100kmph in 4.7 seconds, with a top speed of 250kmph.
