2022 MG Hector Interior Unveiled Before Its Launch
MG Motor India has revealed inside shots of the updated Hector SUV before its complete presentation and pricing are revealed. Soon after its release, the redesigned Hector SUV will have external style changes and extra technology.
This will be Hector’s second redesign since being on sale in 2019 when it first went on sale. But this time, MG Motor India is also emphasizing the inside of the SUV. The photograph made public depicts a totally updated dashboard with horizontally positioned D-shaped AC vents and a double-layered design. Depending on the variation, there is a significant amount of fake brushed metal and piano black trim, ambient lighting, and new seat textures and colors.
The current Hector features a 10.4-inch portrait type unit and has always been at the top of its game when it comes to infotainment screens. The upgraded SUV will take it to the next level with a new 14-inch HD touchscreen set-up. The Next-gen i-Smart technology has been dubbed for this system by MG, and among other new features, it will support wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Additionally, the 7-inch digital instrument cluster on the updated Hector will receive new visuals.
A redesigned front bumper, a huge diamond-mesh grille, and slightly relocated headlights are among the exterior improvements the 2022 MG Hector will receive in addition to the inside modifications. The design of the alloy wheels won’t change, and significant changes to the rear styling aren’t anticipated either.
Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), which includes active safety features like lane maintenance assist, blind spot recognition, rear cross-traffic alert, front collision warning, and lane departure warning, are anticipated to be included in the redesigned Hector’s safety features.
No modifications to Hector’s powertrain are anticipated; the SUV will still be equipped with two 143 horsepower, 1.5-liter petrol engines, one of which has mild hybrid technology, and a 170 horsepower, 2.0 liter turbo-diesel engine.
As was already noted, the Hector debuted in 2019 and, to some extent, competes with the Mahindra XUV700, Harrier, Creta, and Seltos. The 2022 MG Hector will receive an imminent facelift, which MG Motor India anticipates would maintain sales of the SUV until a brand-new model is released later on.
