2022 Jaguar XF launched At INR 71.60 Lakh
The Jaguar XF facelift has been secretly released in our market, with prices starting at Rs 71.60 lakh and rising to Rs 76 lakh (ex-showroom, all India). The redesigned Jaguar XF boasts mild exterior cosmetic modifications, a completely overhauled and more tech-laden cabin, and the return of the diesel engine, which was previously discontinued due to the shift to BS6 requirements. In India, the Jaguar XF is only offered in a fully loaded R-Dynamic S trim.
While the aesthetic changes to the 2022 Jaguar XF are minor, the sedan does appear to be crisper and more elegant overall. The new R-Dynamic S trim level adds to the car’s athletic look. It gets a bigger grille with a mesh pattern upfront, as well as slimmer quad Pixel LED headlights with a new ‘Double J Blade’ DRL signature. With larger air intakes, the front bumper is more aggressively designed. The changes in profile are confined to new alloy wheels with the R-Dynamic S trim, while the new XF receives thinner LED taillights and a revised bumper at the back.
The interior of the 2022 Jaguar XF receives a more substantial change than the appearance, with a newly reworked dashboard. The new Pivi Pro infotainment system, which is similar to that seen in other current Jaguar Land Rover cars, features an 11.4-inch floating curved touchscreen. A new 12.3-inch high-definition digital instrument cluster, a new button-heavy but sporty-looking steering wheel, a new stubby gear lever that replaces the old rotary dial, and new rotary-dial based AC control knobs are among the other significant upgrades.
The quality of materials is a major upgrade over the previous generation, with trim, upholstery, and switchgear transferred directly from the Range Rover SUV. Open-pore wood on the dashboard, higher-quality leather upholstery, brushed aluminium window controls, and machined aluminium speaker grilles are among the high-end components used in the cabin. The interior of the 2017 Jaguar XF has also been upgraded in terms of overall storage and practicality.
In India, the 2022 Jaguar XF is available with two engine options. The P250 is equipped with a 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine that produces 250hp and 365Nm of peak torque. The XF diesel D200 is equipped with a 2.0-litre engine that produces 203 horsepower and 430 Nm of torque, as well as mild-hybrid technology. Both engines are linked to an 8-speed automatic transmission that solely sends power to the back wheels.
The fuel version can sprint from 0 to 100 kilometres per hour in 6.5 seconds and reach a top speed of 250 kilometres per hour. According to Jaguar, the diesel version accelerates from 0 to 100 kilometres per hour in 7.6 seconds and reaches a top speed of 235 kilometres per hour.
