2022 Audi Q3A To Launch In September
After the facelifted A8L was unveiled, Audi India is currently preparing to unveil the second-generation Q3. According to dealer sources, the SUV will probably be introduced next month, with deliveries scheduled for the approaching holiday season. The 2019 global debut of the redesigned Q3 was significantly delayed due to Audi India’s plans being completely reworked in the wake of BS6.
The 2022 Audi Q3A plainly takes design cues from the company’s Q8 SUV, which serves as its flagship model. The new Q3, which is based on Volkswagen’s MQB platform and shares it with the Tiguan and Skoda Kodiaq, is slightly wider and longer than the outgoing model and has a longer wheelbase. The high-end SUV has hexagonal fog lamp surrounds on the lower portion of the front bumper, matrix LED headlamps with daytime running lamps, a bigger front grille, and other distinctive elements.
The blacked-out side skirts and angular shoulder lines highlight the Q3’s SUV-like appearance from the sides. Aside from the new LED taillights and the reprofiled bumper, the 2018 Q3’s rear is basically unchanged from the outgoing model.
Similar to the international-spec version, the interior of the Q3 will have a brand-new cabin with a tonne of tech-focused amenities and is expected to come standard with a 10.1-inch infotainment touchscreen and a 10.25-inch digital driver’s display. A 360-degree camera and driving aid capabilities like cruise control and park assist are among its additional anticipated features.
The 2022 Audi Q3A is powered by a 1.5-liter turbo-petrol engine with 150 horsepower, a 2.0-liter turbo-petrol engine with 190 horsepower and 230 horsepower, and a 2.0-liter diesel engine. The 2.0-liter, four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine with 190 horsepower should be paired to a 7-speed DCT gearbox and power all four wheels in the India-spec Q3.
The 2022 Audi Q3A will face off against vehicles like the Mercedes-Benz GLA, Volvo XC40, and BMW X1 when it first enters the Indian market. It is unknown if the luxury brand intends to export the Q3 Sportback to the United States.
