2022 Audi A8L Launched At A Price Of INR 1.29 Crores
The A8 L, Audi’s premium limousine, has finally been released. It costs 1.57 crores for the Technology trim and 1.29 crores for the base Celebration edition. Audi updated the A8 L with a slew of upgrades for the 2022 model year in order to keep it modern. Last month, pre-orders for the 2022 Audi A8L were already started at a low price of Rs. 10 lakh. The CBU route is how the A8 L enters India, and it has a single long-wheelbase petrol engine.
A new, redesigned, and larger grille can be seen on the front. The side air intakes on the bumper are arranged more uprightly, and the new headlights, which have 1.3 million micromirrors in total for the digital matrix function, are mounted on top of them. Additionally, they have an anti-dazzle feature for the high beams. New 19-inch 5-arm graphite grey alloy wheels are mounted on the side. Wide chrome clasps, a taillight signature with digital OLEDs that can be customised, and a continuous, segmented light strip with a separate signature design make up the majority of the back. With horizontal bars, the diffusor insert in the bumper is subtly enhanced and modified. Additionally, it receives four new metallic paint jobs in the colours Ultra Blue, District Green, Firmament Blue, and Blue.
Interior alterations are significantly more subtle than outward ones. 2022 Audi A8L includes the most recent version of Audi Virtual Cockpit, along with an optional head-up display and two touchscreens in the centre console. Audi’s most recent MIB 3 software has been upgraded for the infotainment system. The rear-seat entertainment system has two additional screens with 10.1-inch panels in the back. A rear leisure kit with a recliner is also available from Audi for enhanced comfort. The back seat experience is improved with this bundle and the foot massager on the rear passenger side. Additionally, the car receives a cooler with a bar area and a folding centre console table.
Other features include wireless phone charging, an Audi cool box, a B&O 23 speaker 3D sound system, all-wheel steering, soft close doors, and 4-zone air conditioning. The 2022 Audi A8L comes with roughly 40 driving aid technologies. Some of them come as standard equipment, such as the Audi pre-sense basic and Audi pre-sense front safety systems. It offers Audi Pre-Sense Basic safety features, which include 8 Standard airbags and the option to upgrade to 10 airbags with 2 central airbags for even more security. In the case of a rear-end collision, active head restraints will prevent whiplash to your neck. You can manoeuvre around confined locations with the Surround Cameras’ enhanced 3D perspective. The best view of that awkward corner can be achieved by pinching and zooming on the display.
The only available powerplant for the redesigned A8 is a petrol one. The 48V mild-hybrid system powering the 3.0L TFSI engine produces 340 horsepower and 540 Nm of torque, and it is connected to an 8-speed torque converter automatic transmission. Quattro is an all-wheel-drive system that distributes power to all four wheels. Additionally, it has predictive air suspension for a better ride.
