2022 Aprilia RS 660 Extrema Revealed
The 2022 Aprilia RS 660 Extrema, a new, more aggressive version of Aprilia’s RS 660 sports bike, has been unveiled. The Extrema, which was unveiled at EICMA 2022, weighs 3 kilograms less than the normal RS 660 and has a new livery to go with it.
The SC-Project exhaust system with a carbon-fiber end can have replaced the underbelly unit of the normal version, and the Italian manufacturer has also added a new front fender and belly pan made of carbon fiber to the Extrema. As a result, the RS 660 Extrema weighs 166kg (dry), which is less than the 169kg of the normal model.
The passenger seat, which is sold separately, is replaced by a single-seat tail fairing on the 2022 Aprilia RS 660 Extrema Additionally, Aprilia has provided it with a software patch that permits a GP-style shift pattern without requiring any component changes, enhancing its track credentials. A new, eye-catching red and white livery with black and green accents completes the makeover.
The Extrema and regular RS 660 are identical save from this. This indicates that it has a 659cc, 100hp parallel-twin engine. There is a bi-directional quick shifter on the 6-speed gearbox. It also keeps getting a full complement of electronics, including wheelie control, traction control, cornering ABS, engine brake control, engine maps, and other features that can all be customized to the preferences of the rider.
Although Aprilia hasn’t released a price for the RS 660 Extrema, given its carbon-fiber components, anticipate it to be significantly more expensive than the normal model. Also unannounced is a launch in India.
