2021 Triumph Street Scrambler Launched -Priced At INR 9.35 Lakh
The 2021 Triumph Street Scrambler has priced at Rs 9.35 lakh in India.
Triumph updated its 900cc Street Scrambler earlier this year, adding an LED headlight as well as cosmetic changes such as a new brushed aluminum headlight bracket and new throttle body finishers, to name a few. The Street Scrambler now comes in two single-tone paint schemes and one dual-tone paint scheme, according to Triumph.
It was first presented alongside a special Sandstorm Edition, which sold for Rs 9.95 lakh (ex-showroom, India), and now the basic Street Scrambler is available for Rs 9.35 lakh (ex-showroom, India). The BS4 version of the Street Scrambler has previously priced at Rs 8.55 lakh (ex-showroom), therefore this revised bike costs Rs 80,000 extra.
Despite being more environmentally friendly, the 900cc parallel-twin engine still produces 65 horsepower at 7,250 rpm and 80Nm of torque at 3,250 rpm. A 5-speed gearbox and chain drive transmit power to the rear wheels, while the electronics remain unaltered, with switchable ABS and traction control, as well as three ride modes – Road, Rain, and Off-road.
A twin-cradle frame, suspended on a non-adjustable 41mm fork, and twin preload-adjustable shocks hold everything together. The bike has Metzeler Tourance tires on 19-inch/17-inch wire-spoke wheels, and the seat height is a comfortable 790mm.
The Ducati Scrambler 800 line, which starts at Rs 7.99 lakh (ex-showroom) and goes up to Rs 8.49 lakh, is Street Scrambler’s most direct competitor. These bikes have somewhat smaller engines than the Street Scrambler, but they are more powerful and have less torque.
