2021 Mercedes Benz S Class To launch In India On June 17
On 17 June 2021, Mercedes-Benz India will debut and also reveal the price of the 2021 Mercedes Benz S Class (V223). With six-cylinder petrol and diesel engines, the new S-Class will be presented.
The entirely imported launch edition of Mercedes-Benz S-Class comes in two versions – diesel 400d 4Matic and petrol 450 4Matic. The S 400d will be using the classic in-line six-engine OM656, which is used by other major new Mercedes in India, and will have 326hp and a significant torque of 700 Nm. The S 450 petrol, too, will feature an inline-six turbocharged unit, putting out 362hp and 500Nm of torque. The standard for both versions is the all-wheel drive and the 9-speed automatic transmission.
The 2021 Mercedes Benz S Class Sedan is supplied with a broad list of features as are a few of the other Launch Edition vehicles released earlier in India by Mercedes-Benz. Some of these devices may be or may not be offered as options to be later offered on the models locally built.
On the exterior, Mercedes’ innovative ‘Digital Light’ LED headlights are included in the 2021 Mercedes Benz S Class launch edition. The devices may project symbols and guides onto the surface of the road. The starting edition also comes with the rear-wheel steering and pop-out door handlebars. The latter should make it much more nimble and simpler to maneuver luxury limousines. The launch editions include AMG Line trim, which gives automobiles a more aggressive look with additional design features and alloy wheels.
Inside, a 12.3-inch display of the instrument sits behind the steering and a new 12.8-inch portrait-oriented touchscreen from Mercedes takes over a substantial section of the center console. Mercedes’s most recent MBUX system (NTG7) and the face, voice, and fingerprint recognition incorporate the new OLED touch panel. Also, the system will receive over-the-air (OTA) upgrades, like other MBUX-equipped Mercedes. In addition, the system will have a storage capacity of 320 GB and 16 GB of RAM. In addition, the Launch Edition also includes amenities like 64-color dynamic ambient lighting, a 4D Burmester 4D sound system, and massage seats in the front.
A bench seat in the S-Class Launch Edition, with outer seats that can be adjusted electrically, a leverage leg rest, and a massage function, will be provided with the chauffeur packet, in which passengers can adjust the driver’s seat from the back and rear-seat entertainment displays, a central tablet control unit for various in-car functions. The luxury limousine is fitted with rear front airbags, another unique characteristic of the S class.
Buyers can pick from five colors: Diamond White, Onyx Black, Rubellite Blue, and Emerald Green. Busy colors can be purchased. The two firsts will be available with either Macchiato Beige or Sienna Brown tapestry, while the other 3, depending on the exterior colors, will be offered.
The 2021 Mercedes Benz S Class, much like its predecessor, will oppose its traditional competitors on the Indian market, the BMW 7 Series and the Audi A8.
In addition, Mercedes will present in the next months its premium Maybach S-Class luxury limousine in India, in addition to being available as standard for long-wheelbases. Mercedes’ latest all-electric car, EQS flagship sedan, is likely to follow up on these.
