TVS Launches BS6 Apache RTR 180. To cost Rs 1.01 Lakh.
The Apache RTR 180 now comes with a BS6 compliant engine with a bump in power and torque figures and now stands at 16.5 bhp and 15.5 Nm. The bike is now fuel injected and has a more responsive throttle. The bike still gets a single-channel ABS and the same part digital-part analogue instrument console. A new feature has been added to the motorcycle in the form of TVS’s Glide Through Technology, this enables a rider to not use the accelerator in dense traffic and instead release the clutch slightly to allow the motorcycle to creep ahead. The motorcycle is now heavier by 2 kg taking the kerb weight up to 141 kg and the wheelbase is shortened by 36 mm to 1330 mm and ground clearance has been increased to 170 mm.
Visually there are no changes and has been the same for quite a while now. It comes in four colours- Pearl White, Matte Blue, Gloss Black, T Grey.
