2020 Toyota Fortuner is announced to be unveiled in Thailand on June 4.
The 2020 Toyota Fortuner facelift will receive improvements in cosmetic design which are very obvious to the spy photos available on the internet. The upcoming model will feature a revised front grille that will reflect the theme of the latest generation of SUVs like the RAV4 from Toyota. It will also receive specially built headlamps incorporating LED DRLs, updated front bumper, a slightly reshaped bonnet, and 17-inch alloy wheels.
The Toyota Fortuner facelift will get the much-needed new touchscreen infotainment system inside the cabin. This system complies with both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Also, the latest Thai market model will offer Toyota Safety Sense safety kit including features such as adaptive cruise control and automatic emergency braking.
For the Indian market, the Toyota Fortuner facelift is expected to get 2.7L petrol and 2.8L diesel engines compatible with BSVI. The diesel engine has two trims–174bhp/420 Nm, 6-speed MT, and 174bhp/450 Nm 6-speed AT.
The LED DRLs, powered tailgate with memory function, 8-way electrically adjustable driver seat, keyless entry and go, automatic climate control, leather upholstery, etc., will be continued to feature in the Fortuner facelift. The 2020 Toyota Fortuner facelift will continue to provide 7 airbags, ABS with EBD, reverse camera, hill-hold assistance, hill descent control, stability control, cruise control, and so on for safety and comfort.
The revamped 2020 Toyota Fortuner would first go on sale in Thailand, then other foreign markets. It is expected that Toyota will launch the Fortuner on the Indian market next year.
